Sarah asked me to do her wedding dress; we designed it together with the image above as our point of reference.  Since this was a new pattern for me, I started with a muslin, and we discussed every detail from the pleating to the placement of the ruffles.

She wanted a color she would wear again, so we did cream silk chiffon with gold metallic threads running through. To emphasize her height, we opted for a column shape, instead of the bias-cut a-line shape of the original style.

The wedding was so much fun!
She danced the night away.
